ShaWanna Gajewski, CEO

Passionate about empowering others, ShaWanna is dedicated to helping individuals achieve financial literacy, homeownership, and career development through skilled trade training. In 2003, she founded Gajewski Homes LLC, a company that offers a wide range of services including rehab & new construction, sales and leasing, inspections, property management, and more.

As a Michigan Licensed Residential Builder, ShaWanna and the team of professionals at Gajewski Homes LLC have successfully built or rehab/renovated over 100 homes, ranging from ground up new builds, to full-scale rehab projects to kitchen and bathroom updates. In addition to assisting other homeowners and investors, she also owns a portfolio of rental properties and engages in property flipping . Leveraging her expertise in finance and real estate, ShaWanna excels in evaluating small and large scale investment opportunities and determining the profitability of fix-and-flip projects and buy-and-hold ventures.

Her extensive experience in various aspects of real estate spans over 23 years, starting from when she earned her real estate license in 1999 and later became a Licensed Real Estate Broker in 2012. Her educational background includes a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Michigan and a Masters of Accountancy from Walsh College. As the CEO of Gajewski Homes, the company serves as a housing partner for YouthBuild Detroit, a program that aims to teach skilled trades to youth. She is an active member of the National Association Of Black Women In Construction (NABWIC), National Association of Realtors (NAR), Greater Metropolitian Association of Realtors (GMAR). She is also a Goldman Sachs 10K Small Business Alumni; a member of Greater Detroit National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) and Women empowered to Build (WeBUILD); and an eXp Certified Mentor. Giving back through volunteering is a core value and represent in ShaWanna’s membership with the Southfield Chamber of Commerce, President of Mama Allen’s Place, Core member of the EXPanse Collaboration, and is always active engaging in volunteer work within the community, particularly with young adults, often in roles that may go unnoticed or have a low profile.

Currently, ShaWanna serves as an Associate Broker with eXp Realty LLC, where she continues to provide exceptional service to buyers and sellers. Through mentorship programs implemented through her company, ShaWanna generously shares her talents and experience with others who are seeking opportunities in the real estate industry. Furthermore, she is actively involved as a real estate developer, currently working on a significant project in an underserved community. This project involves the construction of a 45-unit single-family community, offering both affordable and market-rate housing. Not only will this project provide housing, but it will also create approximately 80 new jobs and offer skills trade training for the local schools.

She finds joy in spending quality time with her children and grandchildren, as well as her loving husband.
